Figure kits

I wasn't sure if I was going to start including these with the Sci Fi stuff but I have so much to put there that I think things will get too crowded. So this page will be dedicated to figure kits, several of which I can talk about.

DA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA BATMAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

I bought this Moebius kit shortly after Adam West's passing. I realized I had never done any classic Batman models and needed to correct that oversight.

It's a great looking kit. Not a lot of parts, and assembly looks to be very quick. The head sculpt is particularly good.

I love the box art....bright and colorful, and serves as a great color reference for painting.

Instruction book is black and white but printed pretty large. Model is molded in a blue-gray plastic.

I got excited when I saw this, for a second I thought Moebius had included a photoetched belt buckle. However it is just a nicely printed gold sticker. The kit provides both stickers and waterslide decals for the chest logo and belt buckle.

The base for this figure is a neat little rock base, and I didn't realize that each figure in the set has a piece of the base that all fit together to make a giant bat symbol. That is really cool.

The head assembly is made in such a way that the mask actually fits around the edges of the face, and the eyepiece is separate. It really adds a lot of realism to the head. It will also make painting a lot easier.

Just for fun, and because I couldn't resist diving in I started assembling the figure. It went together extremely well. Only a small amount of filling and sanding will be needed before paint.

The head and cape will have to remain separate for painting the body so I can get the entire torso and back painted.
