New pages, and more stuff!
I've added a couple of new pages, as well as introductory content for each page. I'll probably do some in progress works on these pages too but for now I'm just adding images.

More stuff soon!
I just picked up a commission to build some ship models for a Navy veteran - and he has graciously allowed me to post about the project. More details soon!
A little more about me.....
I've been drawing and painting since high school, and decided to make art a major part of my life my junior year. I majored in Painting and Drawing, Studio Arts in college and haven't looked back. Lately most of my commissioned work has been portraiture, both of people and pets.
I have done a LOT of puppy portraits, even though I sort of just fell into doing them. They are a lot of fun. This is one of the earlier ones from a couple years ago.
Most of my portraits are graphite drawings, both
because I work relatively quickly in this medium
and it's one of the least expensive media for creating
larger images like this one.
One thing I have always loved though it automotive art. I used to do a lot of it, but the last few years have not seen much from me there. I decided late last year to dive back in with some experimental pieces, using limited color palettes on colored paper.
I have several more of these in the works - stay tuned!

Greetings.
Welcome!
This is a new thing for me, but I decided I should finally do something with all the pictures, notes and information I put together on all my projects other than just letting notebooks gather dust. I hope you find my work interesting and I welcome questions and comments. Thank you!
First, a little about me. I am a sign designer and builder living in Kansas. I also do commission portrait work, illustration and fine art projects on the side. I have been an avid model builder for close to 25 years. I'm a sci-fi junkie, I love movies, anime, and comics. Occasionally I may write about these topics too when the mood strikes, but mostly I'll be showing my work, both in progress and completed as well as articles on model projects both new and old. I will explain techniques, show some tips and tricks, and possibly even some drawing or painting tutorials as well. Thanks for visiting! I hope to have the first article up in the next couple of days. Now I just need to figure out what to start with....
